END OF THE YEAR 2023 - THANK YOU FROM ECONODE TEAM

Dear Econode Community,

As we bid farewell to 2023, it's with immense pride and gratitude that we look back on the year's journey—marked by innovation, collaboration, and strides in revolutionising biosecurity monitoring through cutting-edge IoT technology.

2023 has seen Econode at the forefront of biosecurity innovation. Through our wireless monitoring systems, we've continued to push the boundaries, providing state-of-the-art solutions to safeguard agriculture, livestock, and ecosystems against potential threats. Collaboration has been critical to our success. We've forged impactful partnerships, working hand in hand with industry experts, researchers, and government bodies to create comprehensive and effective biosecurity solutions. The IoT/Innovation team at Auckland Council again proved their excellent innovative minds by winning a Special Award for Sustainability with their IoT-based project Real-time Insights for Sustainable Impact (https://www.idc.com/getdoc.jsp?containerId=prAP51316823). The Taranaki Taku Tūranga - Towards Predator-Free Taranaki project is progressing into Year 5. Across North and South regions in various scales, we successfully deployed over 15000 nodes of SmartTrap monitoring systems. As we look ahead, we're dedicated to further innovation, enhancing our systems, and ensuring they continue to meet the evolving needs of biosecurity on a global scale.

Reflecting on our accomplishments fills us with pride. The Econode LoRa mesh network has been proven a game-changer for unreliable internet and telecom locations. We tested Econode gears in December at the New Zealand Landspeed Record event (https://www.landspeed.org.nz/nz-records/). We began attracting collaboration works to other remote places outside New Zealand to test our system. Our commitment to excellence remains unwavering.

This year's journey wouldn't have been possible without the great support of our community, clients, partners, and incredible team. Your trust, constructive feedback, and collaboration have propelled Econode forward.

Naku te rourou nau te rourou ka ora ai te iwi

With your basket and my basket, the people will thrive.

As we close the chapter on 2023, we eagerly anticipate the possibilities that 2024 holds. Thank you for being integral to Econode's journey toward protecting our Papatūānuku – the land, our flora and fauna.

We wish you a joyful holiday season and a prosperous New Year!

Econode staff will be taking a well-deserved break during the holiday period. Our office will be closed from Friday, 22nd December 2023 and reopening on Monday, 8th January 2024.
